Best cable options for modern TVs - A1200
Hi guys,
As usual I’ve got my A1200 out for the holidays to play some games. I’m finding that my scart lead is a little flakey and was going to order a new one. But just wondered if there was a better option for modern TVs, given that scart is fast disappearing from some new TVs these days. I’ve seen that there are Amiga to monitor cables - just wondering if there is a way of using hdmi? Or what is the best option these days? Thanks for your helping again, Steve :guru |
I am very happy with this for my Mega Drive - SCART in, HDMI out. Works perfectly, but I didn't try it with Amiga yet..

Thank you that’s a relatively cheap option!!

It turned up !!!
It’s great to have an upscaled picture that uses more screen space. Lovely clarity. Two points of contention 1, bigger screen more pixelated. I’m seeing details in a new way makes Paradroid 90 a bit blocky though. 2, I’m getting input lag. It’s small but noticeable especially from the mouse on the desktop. Not noticed it yet from joystick. Turning off "Game Mode" actually adds a lot of input lag in newer TVs. My 4K TV e.g. has probably 80-100ms without. With "Game Mode" enabled it's app. 18-20ms.

No gaming mode on it. It’s a basic model Logic 24inch portable size flatscreen.
I have noticed however that the tv says it’s running at 60hz but scary converter box says it’s running at 50hz. Mean anything to anybody? So far the input lag is only really bad on the 3.9 workbench desktop. It’s not occurring in the games I’ve tried yet. But only tried a couple |
