Finnish Amiga Users Group's Saku 2018 Event on September 22nd
 

Finnish Amiga Users Group holds its 11th Saku event in Oulu, Finland on Saturday, September 22nd.

The event will feature many classic Amiga setups from A500 to A4000, FPGA computers like Minimig and MIST, and next generation systems from MorphOS machines to AmigaOne X5000.

The The Commodore Story documentary film will be shown on a big screen, and there will be a presentation about AmiKit X emulation package. One lucky visitor will also win a free copy of AmiKit X.

There will be several game competitions to attend and the best players will be awarded. The latest Amiga Future magazines are available for reading, as well as older magazines from all decades.

Admittance is free of charge and refreshments will be available. Saku 2018 will start at 14:00 on September 22nd at Oulun Tetra ground floor conference room at Mäkelininkatu 31.

Next year maybe a tiny bit more south? >;-)

Yeah, we'd really love to get it more south again, but so far we've failed to find an organizer there. We've been asking for this every year since 2014 when it was at Tampere... but no volunteers, so we've made it ourselves here in north then. It'd just need one local organizer to keep count of things little and check the venues etc which we can't do remotely, and we'd give proper remote support and help otherwise. Although this year's event brought some hope for getting it organized elsewhere finally, we'll see how it progresses... it'd be in Jyväskylä, which would be a fresh area for us, and could be nice in that way :)

I know Oulu as that's where one of my ex-girlfriends is from originally.

Been there are few times; over the Christmas period and also in summer ;)

I hope its on south at next year
