New wiki based ExoticA website online

The new wiki based exotica is online @ http://www.exotica.org.uk
in many areas it has work still to be done, but unexotica has grown with the addition a demo rip collection, as well as more box scans, and some other new areas such as artwork from bob wakelin with comments from bob.

most importantly though, as a wiki based site, visitors can edit and contribute to the site.

That looks great, and being a wiki is a damn good idea

High Voltage SID Collection Search

ExoticA is pleased to launch a new Web Interface to the High Voltage SID Collection, which allows browsing and searching of the tunes by name, author, copyright, year and directory path. It also allows you to search for tunes using data from the SID Tune Information List and can display this information in the search results if required. Full instructions for the search can be found on the ExoticA High Voltage SID Collection page.
Please try the search out!
Nice update, i like this SID search engine.

It's right up their with the Modland interface. And they have downloads of Alistair Brimble's Second Album Bang Tick Tick (loved it since I bought it direct from him in 1997)

Thanks for the comments. Got my first bug report too (which is now fixed).

Bang Tick Tick is really good, and I recommend it for those that have not heard it. Well worth a download.

Really nice tracks. The album concept reminds me of Mike Oldfield's "The Songs Of Distant Earth". :great

The one track flowing into the other in a sort of story is the only real connection. Musically they are quite different.

Retro-Nerd 03 December 2008 23:00

"All Good Things" is obviously inspired by Vangelis Blade Runner. I like this track.

alexh 04 December 2008 10:36

I didn't get that. Just the one "analog" sample that's similar.

Dark Age is my fave. Spooky and very dramatic. Especially the piano solos. You can just feel the world coming to an end :)

BuZz 12 December 2008 03:39

I improved the layout of the homepage on exotica a bit.

alexh 12 December 2008 18:44

Nice.
