Can anyone identify this tune?

Hi all,
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, wasn't sure where else to put it. Quick background: My brother's friend had an Amiga, and around 1991/2 he had taped some music from it which he gave to me. It had this brilliant tune, that I've had stuck in my head but can't seem to find at all. It isn't from a game, and I'm not sure if it's from a demo. I think it was bundled with a tracker or something. I know he didn't compose it either. Anyway, a musician friend of mine made a similar tune for me based on my humming The main tune sounds exactly the same but the arrangement is entirely different obviously. Can anyone at all recognise this? I've been trying to work out what it is for at least 25 years! Thanks. TL;DR: what is this tune please? Zip file attached. |

It says "prepare to race" to me, although I can't connect it with anything in particular.
