New EasyADF Multicard PCMCIA Kit

We are pleased to announce our new EasyADF Multicard PCMCIA Reader Kit. This allows the Amiga 1200 or Amiga 600 to access memory cards such as Secure Digital (SD), Memory Stick and Compact Flash. This can be very useful for file transfer between a PC and Amiga.

It is supplied with our latest EasyADF software and boot/install floppy disk and has product bundle options of 2GB SD card or 4GB CF card.

Me three. I can source the pcmcia adapter myself, but a software update (if needed?) would be nice.

It's nice to see that you're bundling decent-sized cards :) I hate the usual stores here that only stock puny cheap cards!

I have CF in the IDE and WWW in the PCMCIA, so it's not for me. But I'm sure there will be another order from me soon :)

Go team AmigaKit :)

This looks very interesting. Does anyone know if it can handle NDOS disks?

I am just getting back into all things Amiga after owning a Amiga 1200 back in the day. I still have the A1200 and disks in the loft and I am interested in being able to transfer disks to PC and vice versa.

I'd also be interested in any useful pointers on how to get a CF IDE hard drive running.

I can help here....

I have both a pcmcia adapter with a compact flash AND and IDE adapter with a compact flash card. Both work great.

Some say that the IDE & Flash card is not really suitable for a lot of writing to but I have had no problems at all. I do alot of dev work so I write alot to the the card and havent had a problem yet. They are much faster that your standard IDE hard drive, no moving parts, no noise, less power and more reliable. The best thing since sliced bread if you ask me!

The pcmcia transfer kits are rather groovy too! I use mine on my WinXP laptop to transfer files to my A600.

Some stuff thats out now for the Amiga is loads better than when the Amiga was alive and kicking.

Hope that helps.

See ya, folks!

Thanks for the info. I have ordered an EasyADF Multicard PCMCIA Reader Kit and I will let you know how I get on.

Where is the best place to order a IDE adapter with Compact Flash from?

Thanks

Pete

Do you mean an IDE-to-CF adapter? If so DealExtreme do one that will correctly light up your HD light and it's cheap. For CF, best bet is probably eBay.

I'm looking for a CF IDE solution that will allow the running of software on an Amiga like a hard drive without shorting or damaging the machine.

I've looked on Google and from this guide it seems that any CF IDE adapter will do. Is this correct?

cosmicfrog 20 March 2009 16:49

this is the 1 i`ve got but you will need a little cable to connect it

Thanks
Rob.
