Cardpatch error
Hey folks,
I have Cardpatch at the beginning of my A1200 startup sequence thus: C:CardPatch Run >NIL: C:CardReset TICKS 50 Which works fine with 4meg fast RAM, but if I switch to 8mb (when I'm not using the PCMCIA port) I get an error on boot. I'm assuming this is because the machine is disabling the PCMCIA when 8 meg is present (3.1 ROMs)? Can I change the placement/details such that it boots with 4 or 8 meg fast? (should I just go back to 3.0 Roms?) If not, what's the downside to simply removing Cardpatch and/or CardReset? Thanks to anyone who can educate me on this. |
I believe that if you upgrade to OS 3.1.4 this issue is fixed; the following thread explains a bit more:
