Was your school equipped with an Amiga?

Just curious :D

Well, it was back in 1985 and all we had was the Acorn BBC model B:

There was a network of about 16 of these machines and the best features were Logo and Elite. That's what my school had right up until 1989 when I left. Back then they were planning to upgrade to PCs but I don't know what machines they eventually got.

I voted yes, but then I'm talking about the US Army Infantry School! :D

We had an m16 target simulator that was basically an A2000 with some custom software. (Amiga helps me kill bad guys dead!)

We also had M.a.c.s. which was a much more primative system for use with the SNES.

Wish it was... ;)

Wish it was... :(

Shit, back then my school didn't have any computers at all :nuts

Firthy2002 09 May 2005 14:27

Nope, just Acorns and then PCs in the last few years of high school.

Martin_L 09 May 2005 14:34

We had BBC's then Acorns then P1's

Freakyweakywoo 09 May 2005 14:35

A load of Acorns, and a few Black and green screened things, possible Amstrads?

wanderer 09 May 2005 15:37

Sounds like an Amstrad PCW. 3" disks, yes?

robotriot 09 May 2005 15:41

At my school they had 286 PCs with b/w monitors, and later upgraded to some amazing Pentium machines with 16MB RAM and WindowsNT. No Amigas to be seen though D:

I was only kid in my school who had an Amiga

Marcuz 09 May 2005 18:07

we had a bunch of Olivetti pc, (1986) and were totally crap. at least we were doing boring stuff in basic. and the black and green screens were so cool.

line (180, 200)
close

oldpx 09 May 2005 19:12

we used to have monochrome pcs!

Stig 09 May 2005 19:38

We had Apples here, then they switched to PC's in early 90's but since we were not allowed to do stuff other than typing, well, no big deal I guess.

AMIGAZ 09 May 2005 19:54

Only computer I came in touch with in school was the COMPIS, think it was a PC clone.
We're talking early 90's when I went in 7th, 8th and 9th grade in school.
We had two games on them...Prince Of Persia and Worm! (not worms) :D

I kinda had the same experience.

I had a more advanced computer at home than we had at our school!

Bamiga2002 09 May 2005 22:54

We had 2 A500 at school, oh man the times :crying. The school arranged some gaming evenings, but we weren't able to bring our own games there (copied ones ;))...
