Impact A2000-HC+8 Series II & BridgeBoard A2386 on A2000 rev6.3

Hello,

i'm trying to make my A2386 bb working on my a2000 with a SCSI imact HC+8...
With 4Mb installed on the HC all work ok, when i increase the memory (6 or 8), it start to fill the screen of the bb with random characters.

I've bought this controller with 4Mb already installed. I've added 4Mb to reach 8Mb of memory...
The simm are not all from the same manifacturer, they work, because i've checked all the memory with the GVP utility...
The 4Mb i've added are different from the 4mb already installed when i've bought...

I've already used the bb on an A4000 with 16Mb of memory and there was no problems...

Is there someone who know how to solve my problem ?

I'm getting crazy!!!

The A2000 cannot have more than 4MB with the bridgeboard, because the Zorro II address space is only 8MB total.

The A4000's motherboard RAM does not conflict with the Zorro II space, so it naturally worked fine.

Hahhh... I didn't know that...

So, i can have max 8MB of memory on the zorro II bus ?
The bridgeboard should have 128KB of shared memory or i'm wrong ? If so i should be able to have 6MB on the scsi controller...
No ?
Is only for understand which is the best configuration i can have...

The bridgeboard seems to occupy more than the 128k area.. You can check out what mem areas it takes with sysinfo or showconfig.
