Damn it, look like the site I've been using to host images for the past year or so is changing: https://www.imageupload.co.uk/

As a result, all my hosted images in numerous threads on EAB no longer exist :scream :scream :scream

Shoonay 18 November 2018 21:15

Hosting mine on https://imgur.com/ here, oldest pics are 6 years and counting.
Might have some laggy browsing server issues from time to time, but knowing reddit, the biggest site on the interwebz is behind it, it's not going anywhere anytime soon ;)

gimbal 19 November 2018 11:33

imgur is quite alright, it even generates a share link for you to put images in bbcode so you can directly plop it down in EAB.

Anubis 19 November 2018 13:57

I used this site for a while...

DamienD 19 November 2018 22:57

Thanks guys, I used to use http://tinypic.com/ but the catcha manual entry window and advertisements afterwards annoyed me...

I'll try some of the others ;)

DH 20 November 2018 00:06

Like Shoonay & Gimbal have mentioned imgur is pretty OK for hosting and I've been using it since time began.

It's worth a look Damien.

DamienD 23 November 2018 11:56

Currently reuploading / putting back important images in my DamienD's WinUAE Collection thread... mission!!! :scream

roondar 24 November 2018 23:13

I wonder if you can directly link to something like Google Drive or Drop Box (assuming the image is made public). That'd be a nice way to fix it.

Well, not the part of having to redo all those links, but rather the sharing of images.

Retro-Nerd 25 November 2018 02:01

I'm using abload.de since 2009 and all pics are still online. :)

speshady 11 December 2018 23:45

i have been using imgur.com for many years.

DamienD 17 July 2019 13:54

Great, looks like http://tinypic.com/ is closing soon...

...again all my images used in the forum will soon disappear I guess :banghead :banghead :banghead

daxb 17 July 2019 14:32

Why not uploading pictures to the forum?

DamienD 17 July 2019 14:45

I'd run out of space on my allowed quota; and I already have an extended one being a GM...

Anubis 17 July 2019 16:43

That is sad news.

On different forum I used TinyPic quite often. Should probably let them know about this.

gimbal 18 July 2019 18:14

Should have listened to me and not Anupiss.

Neener, neener, neener.

malko 18 July 2019 21:19

For the images posted in your thread Damien, i have used tinypic.com & imgbb.com .
Think it's time to use the second one for all pictures (it seems I was inspired the day I posted the comment 2059 :agree )

Maybe give a try to imgBB my friend :)
(until the day when it too will close down for a fee-based solution).

DamienD 18 July 2019 22:43

Thanks malko ;)

I've tried https://imgbb.com/ before but... the problem is that you don't see the full image unless you click on the embedded image and then click again i.e.

Anubis 19 July 2019 15:30

Maybe post it like this?

DamienD 20 July 2019 14:23

That doesn't work for me :sad

Just uploaded the image again and the original link is (without spaces before URL & IMG):

[ url=https://ibb.co/tQJxxTD][ img]https://i.ibb.co/NtymmdK/2s93wqf.png[ /img][ /url]
If I then just paste the following (without spaces before IMG):

[ img]https://i.ibb.co/NtymmdK/2s93wqf.png[ /img]
This is the result:

lilalurl 20 July 2019 17:23

Copy the image address from the download link (bottom right of the first picture page you posted in #17, besides "like" and "share") and use that between the [img] tags:
