Speedball 2

So... when will Codetapper complete the packaging already?! :laughing

dlfrsilver 12 August 2008 16:52

I have the Kixx version, with no copylock and 100 % A1200 compatible.

Interested ?

huh? not really related to the question of the long-time-work-in-progress whdload slave is it? unless you are implying the kixx version is dos and runs from HD?

The JST patch is very good. i wonder if re-sourcing that would make it easier for someone else to have a go at making the SB2 whd slave. (JOTD may even stilll have the SB2 jst source) - that is , of course, assumeing Codetapper is not interested in working on the slave anymore.

jrom 13 August 2008 09:53

Yeah... I have the JST one already... but I'm waiting for ages for Codetapper to release the WHDLoad slave... :S

musashi5150 13 August 2008 13:21

Codetapper is among the best around - there must be a good reason for it not working 100%.

Interceptor 13 August 2008 18:20

surely its political?

skan 13 August 2008 18:31

What's wrong with the good old JST patch?

if its personal politics, it doesnt really seem a good enough reason for the whdload userbase to suffer for however many years it has read 'packaging to do'

Oh, i c :)

Well, it works flawlessly for me, so I'm ok with it! ;D

StingRay 13 August 2008 19:21

Musashi: I can't help it, after reading your post I had to giggle like a school girl. :D

musashi5150 13 August 2008 20:04

Settle down Sting :laughing

nujack 13 August 2008 21:38

That's such a pitty that no WHDLoad-install of Speedball2 was released until today. I don't think there are any technical reasons why this installer wasn't released - maybe a lack of interest or less time. Come on StingRay I know you can do it ...
I can provide images of the original if somebody is interested to make a new WHDLoad-install. Icecream, Icecream

killergorilla 14 August 2008 01:51

A lack of interest?

Highly unlikely :D This game constantly appears in top 10 amiga games.

Retro-Nerd 17 August 2008 22:57

No problems here on my A1200. Many thanks for this fine patch Galahad. :great

Frog 17 August 2008 23:28

Hi,

i don't remember very well but i think Codetapper wanted to do something special for Speedball 2... can't remember what in fact... except support for all versions... i can't speak for himself for the huge delay ;)

Galahad if you want, you can use the icon i've done for Codetapper, they're available in my Pygmicons pack (available on aminet and EAB download page...) i just upload them to the Zone too. Now your package should be to 99% ;)

Sorry no ingame picture as 2nd frame icon, just the famous Speedball Team :D
