KTRL CD32 - Amiga CD32 custom gamepad

Hi fellow Amiga fans!

I have designed a small PCB with the electronics of a CD32 gamepad that can be fitted inside another gamepad (like the SNES style usb gamepad shown here). I'm happy with the result, I'd rather use a gamepad that don't have analog sticks etc. (like the PSX pad).

NOTE!: Read this post for the enhanced version (named KTRL CD32) and how to get one: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...6&postcount=95

EDIT: photo updated to show black gamepad model.

The SNES style gamepad is a good option since the buttons have the same colors (in other positions but they can be moved). Other gamepads that are able to fit the PCB can also be used.

I used an atari joystick extension cable since all 9-pins are needed.

I will sell kits to those interested in making their own gamepads (minus the gamepad and cable). I might also make some finished gamepads to sell.

Excellent stuff!
I'm crap at making elec. stuff, so would be interested in buying a pad made by you!

Very nice idea! I prefer snes pad for gaming. Definitely interested in kit or full gamepad.

What about those stickers? Are they proper stickers, or some printed paper?

The stickers on the picture are just printed with an inkjet printer on sticker paper (won't sell these, they are not good enough). I'm looking into how to get these made (maybe laser cut), any ideas on this? I can have them printed professionally (laminated etc.) but they still need cutting.

These stickers will perish, won't they?
Except that, nicely done! Good idea to use an extention cable to get all the pins.

When I have them printed and laminated by a printing service they should last much longer. They still need manual cutting, though.

Check out getting vinyl cut stickers, they'll be long lasting and not very expensive.

4 buttons for a CD32 pad then. Does anyone have an overview which CD32 games will not fully work with it as they also need shoulder buttons? In my mind it is Jetstrike and imho Simon the sorcerer, any others? Not sure with Roadkill at the moment.

This gamepad has shoulder buttons as well, they are just not visible in the photo, so all games will work. :)
