Since "Project Horizon" is under developement, there is a new little game based on the polpular "Block Puzzle" games everyone knows!
The game is created by Imre Sövény (ELECTRICBLACKSHEEP) in matter of 1-2 day. :) It's coded in AMOS and the sourcecode (as always) in the ADF.

7 game modes:
EASY: Basic drag &Drop
SURVIVOR: If The Timer ends, a blokk will be replaced into an other free place.
TIMEATTACK: Run against time.
EXTREME: Run against time , but you are sabotaged by randomly placed blocks.
BABY: You always have three choices to select from.
UNPREDICTABLE: With every steps You allways get random formations.
INVERSE: You can put formations to anywhere, even if it is allready filled, but it will be inverted.
VIRUS: This could be enabled in all the game modes. A virus is eating the filled places in the playfield.

This look nice, might have some ideas to increase playability too if accepted;

First of all the possibility to rotate jevel shapes; if you want to keep a challenge you could do a limited amount of rotations and add that after a certain score you regain one so people will need to be more strategic;

second a time attack mode where you have a limited time to do most score possible;

third (a bit crazy) a two player challenge, possibly via parnet/sernet similar to puyopuyo so that when you clean a shape you are sending it to your adversary on the other computer ^^

fourth, this is a tech tip: i can hear you have a wolfchild tune but is mapped on the wrong channels (if you need two channels free) you should modify the mod so that the patterns are located in the second pair of channels - else i could help you with one of mine

Hi,

ROTATE: I don't want to rotate the shapes becouse it would have make the game a lot easier. Block Puzzle and Block Jewel types of games are not have this rule either.

TIMEATTACK: A TimeAttack and a few other mode is allready in the making (next version), where you have 15 sec to make a row. There is an other where every third move a block will be relocated in to an other slot making the game more difficult.
This (and new) gamemodes are probably will featured in future versions.

WRONG CHANNELS: Thanks for the tip! The issue was in the code, not in the mod itself. If you prefere an other mod , than it can be easily replaced in th gamefolder.

OTHER things: The next version has a few changesin point calculation as well. You get more points if you make more rows simultaneusly, and even more if it is built by the same colors.

It would not if you give a limited amount, like three rotates per game plus a way to gain one like every 10000 points

About mod files i can see if have way to make one

This looks very promising, I hope it gets some extra features for variety in the gameplay!

For example introducing blocks on which you cannot have a row or a column or you have to have both row and column to count, blocks that count as bombs when a line is done, destroying all adjacent blocks, levels that extend or constrict the playing area, levels on which only lines from specific colours count, etc.

2 player mode would be brilliant, as well.

There is also a technical issue with the rotation. In every step When you put the formations in to the game area the system checks that the available formations can fit anywhere or can't. If a formation doesn't fit anywhere, than it gets a grey(ish) dark color in the selection area. If non of the remaining formations fit, than the game is ended. It is important to do this. To check these formations on all available positions takes a lot of processing power. It's allready a noticable lag when you put a formation to its place. If i need to check all (three) formation on all available places on all rotation, than this lag time would be four times longer and that is seriously affecting the playability by slowing it down. (Especially in game modes where you run against Time.)

If anyone has a solution for speeding up the process, then please take a look into the (AMOS) source code (it's on the disk). It would be wery helpful! :)

The game does not have any title screen and even not any title at all. Except the loading screen. Would you consider to add some title screen or at least a row to the options screen to keep the game named?

I could easily do it myself of course (for my purpose) as you included source code, but the official title screen would be fine.

Yeah! This was a very quick and "minimalist" production, but it deserves at least a proper logo. We taking care of that in a few days.
