basically mentions how they moved production away from Amiga and over to SEGA Megadrive and game was 1 bug away from beeing released before Psygnosis decided to kill the project (along with 12 other SEGA MD projects).

Check the video on the page.

So sad, looks awesome.

There was a developer diary in Swedish magazine Datormagazin, running over several months.

Gzegzolka 04 October 2017 09:04

Where could I find Datormagazin scans?

idrougge 04 October 2017 12:35

https://dmzarkivet.se

For example, here is one screenshot from Hardcore and another one from another abandoned DI game, Malfunction: https://dmzarkivet.se/pager.cfm?issue=199311&page=15

I take it that no "playable demo" ever got released?

...I wonder where HOL got their screenshots from?

Nope, no playable demo......just some preview screenshots for it and Benefactor at the end of Digtal Illusions' PD game Amiganoid, which appeared on an Amiga Format coverdisk.

I heard they wanted to release the game to the public but Sony that owns the studio now wouldn't let them.

idrougge 04 October 2017 20:59

They're owned by EA now.

nobody 04 October 2017 21:02

I think psygnosis owns the rights to the game and is owned by Sony.
