GVP EGS Spectrum 28/24 graphics card software
Does anyone have the software which came with GVP EGS Spectrum 28/24 graphics cards? I want to test WinUAE's new RTG card emulation, and apparently the original software (not Picasso 96/CyberGraphX) supports 68000 CPUs, which Picasso 96 and the version of EGS which came with my Piccolo card don't.

there is a GVP mirror on Installer Heaven. also something in the video-section for egs-spectrum.
"EGS - Software version 6.2 for the Spectrum board" - just have a look. Edit: found another install set, got 7 disks: GVP_SPECTRUM2824_EGS_x.DMS ( x= 1 - 7 ). [zoned] Edit2: is this not what you are looking for? if you have a name or other description, just name them. maybe there is something else :) |

Hi. I am having trouble with disk 3. It just shows up as a .dms on workbench. Can some one please upload a working disk 3. I tried from the bboah and the site above. I'm having trouble getting through the installaltion
Thanks. I'm using this on WinUAE. |
I uploaded a new set to The Zone, made from my original disks.

Thanks Matt_H. All 5 disks work well with WinUAE.
Now to figure out how to get into Colour mode instead of greyscale. |

However if you use the DMS program to unpack the file to a blank disk, that does work. |
Anyone manage to get this installed? On a 3.2.1 Kickstart A3000 the installed keeps telling me I don't have enough space on the target drive to do the install. I'd try to install manually but there's LOTS of stuff.

Do you really want to install EGS on a 3.2.1 system? This stuff is really really outdated....
Anyhow, the error you got is an indicator that you are using an old installer on a partition larger than 4GB. The old installer is not 64-bit clean. In the simplest case, replace the installer on the EGS install disk with the one that comes with 3.2.1. However, whether EGS still continues to work is anyone's guess. |

And yes, I want to see if EGS will run on 3.2.1 - why not? :) |
