Just Joined - and a CUCD mod request
Used to use the amiga all the way up until CU Amiga stopped in 1998, damn that was a long time ago!
i was 14 by that point, and had an 1200 with power tower, power flyer, apollo 68040 full mmu/fpu with 16mb, 2hd's and 2 cd drives, and a digirt24, genlock, sampler, so much stuff! then this evening, i was trying to remember the name of a tune, and it lead me here! Like a trip down memory lane reading the posts on here, things not installing, librarys not working, and all the things that made the amiga what it was! as well as the flakey hardware lol... Anyways, if anyone has any of the CUCD's that came with the magazine, im trying to track down the name of the tune that was included with MPEGA , the saxaphone tune, its driving me mad, i have to find it! if the name is not know, if someone can email it to me direct off the cd, thatd be great! im sure ill stick around and read some more stuff! Cheers! |
Can't help you with the 'name that tune' but I can offer you a welcome!

Nah dont have the hardware any more.
i sold it to some chap called PPCben from #amirc ages ago, all i remember was he got a billy bargain, i remember a power tower cost £150 on its own, and he got the whole setup plus modems/a600hd and bits for less than the tower on its own lol. as for the flakey hardware, the a1200 rev 1d4 mobo was pretty shocking, there was a guide as to which tracks to cut and which resistor values to change, which i performed incorrectly, and had to get a new mobo direct from power, with 3.1 roms, which led to OS3.5... the powerflyer was a good bit of kit i recall, 4 IDE devices, and seemed to get over 7mb/sec on one of the 3gb drives lol, i seem to recall that was fast in the day lol... Something tells me i should install an emulator and get a setup going again, but, i dont think i can be bothered :sad |

You should really consider using WinUAE. It's not very hard to set up and since you still seem to know a lot, it should be a piece of cake :D |

yes you do theres no use in denying it we can tell.... |
Hey Scott, visit The Zone!, I already upload the tune you looking for.
