Welcommmme - tooowa - frrright night. *spooky music*

Really? This was your favorite game of those years? Maybe I missed some gameplay elements, but from what I remember it was walk around, suck some necks then go back to your coffin.

Me Dungeon Master without a doubt, although I played it the first time in 1990 :)

This is impossible. There are just so many of them. God I love Amiga games! (hehe, Fright Night gave me a scare or two at the time. Kind of an over-sized Mission Elevator with bites!)

It was actually a reasonable couple of years:-
Carrier Command
IK+
Dungeon Master
Sidewinder
R-TYpe
Stunt Car Racer
Test Drive
Elite

I bought my first A500 1.2 in 1989 after seeing Shadow Of The Beast. So that's my favorite of that year :)

I mark most posts in this thread as invalid, since Hybris is left out :D

I would say North and South... Didn't get a Miggy until Chrimble 1990 but by then the games had evolved and there was just so much cool stuff to choose from.

Whereas I can list hundreds from the late 1980s. The deluge of crap games throughout the 1990s is one of the major factors in the eventual collapse of the platform as a commercial proposition.

Worms DC - one of the best games ever on the Amiga platform. I play it more than Worms World Party on the peecee.

88: Barbarian (Psygnosis), Buggy Boy, Virus, Nebulus (?)
89: Speedball, Sorcerer's Apprentice

Can't check the years on HOL it seems, so just guesses...

Sorry to bump, but seriously... Rise of the Robots AND Primal Rage, I personally found them both to be very offensively piss poor.

:D

Photon 21 May 2011 18:22

The reason for the confusion is I thought I was already in advanced search...

Sensi 21 May 2011 20:27

Dungeon Master (88)
Elite and Silkworm (89)

Skope 22 May 2011 08:28

Awrrr there's too many good ones to pick a fav. I played Hybris a lot, as well as Shadow of the Beast. Rick Dangerous 2 (uncertain if it's later than 89), Speedball, Beach Volley (not sure about the year there either), Shufflepuck Café, Menace, Battle Squadron, Rock 'n' Roll, Oil Imperium... the list goes on.
