Amiga 1200! Is this a bargain?
I don't where else to put it, so here it goes...
I found an Amiga1200 with 85Mb HD, Blizzard memory board, mouse, joystick, all manuals and system disks (v3.0) plus 5 professional programs and a bunch of boxed games. All these in pretty good condition! I will take it for 120€ (shipping costs included for Greece). Is this a fair price? Thanks |
That price is right IMHO. Go for it.
|
bah, I think it is not cheap, or too pricey...
I mean that blizz mem board sux... I got a 1200+030/28+mouse,disks, etc... for 70e |
|
scifi : like 'Keropi said, that price is far too high. Even if a scandoubler would be included then it would still be pricy :agree

I agree but...

A few hours before the ending of the auction that I've previously mentioned and when the price was at about $25 (that's a fair price!) an account with no transactions (0) started to bid continously with no obvious intention (1 bid every minute) and took the price to the sky! And guess what? This ebayer vanished in the darkness after completing his main purpose...:mad The major drawback is the shipping costs for Greece! German ebay is cheaper but I don't understand completely what is written in the description cause I don't speak German. I use a dictionary to understand the main parts of the offer but I'm still confused in some parts.:confused On the other hand, on ebay.com the shipping costs are sky high and on ebay.uk almost nobody dispatch outside UK.:sad I feel helpless! :shocked Could you propose any site where I can arrange a fair deal without being ripped off on delivery costs? :help |
Here?
The auction from Cebulba, I am pretty sure you could arrange this with him directly and using English. |
Well, unfortunately Cebulba's A1200 is already on ebay...
And according to his forecasts the auction will end with a final price + shipping costs over than 120€. As we speak the current bid on his item is 75€ and there are 4 more days to go... However, I'm watching it closely! ;) But I'm open to other suggestions from EAB members. I think it's better to buy something from people that you already know, in a way... :) |
I still think the system for €120 is reasonable cheap.
Here is one which went for £75 +£25 p&p (€145). A1200 on eBay UK. It looks like that everybody wants an A1200 nowaday.:D |
I know that I wanted to sell 8 A1200´s and had a hard time selling them at 45 euro per piece (shipping not included) ...
About using a dictionary, instead try using : http://world.altavista.com/ |
If you after a bare Amiga 1200 than they are about £20 + £11 delivery. But if you want one fully equip that'll cost you.

I'm just looking for an A1200 with a HD, an Amiga that can play the majority of the titles without problems! This A1200 will revive the old spirit of my A500 because I'll use it to transfer a great number of games back to my A500 1.2 |

Well, it's better to pay a few euros more to take something it works, don't you agree? :great |
Some useful information for people that would like to bid on something in Germany but don´t know about shipping cost :
http://www.dhl.de/dhl?lang=de_EN&xmlFile=950&tpl=html3 This means for example that a package between 10 and 20 kg inside the EU (zone 1 which includes Greece) will cost 32 Euro :great If you know that for example an A4000 desktop has a weight of almost 11 kg then you can realize how expensive shipping cost can be. Another option in Germany is the company GLS which has cheaper shipping cost but is harder to use when the seller does not live close to a collection center ... |
