Lemmings

When i play lemmings everything works fine until i get to level 22, then it just crash, is it winuae or my rom that is bad.

If you wanna see for yourself the password to level 22 is FNCMKLLGDL, please help me if you know what's wrong.

andreas 16 July 2002 00:07

Thanks for the code. I wouldn't have played it until this point ;)

Tested version is in the zone - I tested with WinUAE 0.8.21 R4 and there were no problems. So I reckon it's a broken disk.

But please UPLOAD both of these disks! They might not be in TOSEC and should be given a thorough check...

@everybody: We're missing a very essential version! A version with a GREAT intro! :shocked
I do *not* think that the CRYSTAL/MELON crack should be missing in TOSEC. I do have this version on real disk and I played it quite far ... but if someone happens to have it as ADF please up it because I'd like to avoid transferring disks at all costs with my humble hardware (A500 1 MB only). TIA.

Amiga1992 16 July 2002 03:47

The versions on TOSEC dont have the little lemmings climbing up the hills???? I think I have this one! Crystal + a +22 trainer by Defjam?
BTW, I think it fucks up in level 22 as well.... All you have to do is change disks and it will load with bugged music (isnt thsi the ONLY level where a tree theme is happening?)

Shatterhand 16 July 2002 04:58

Tssc..

I have a Lemmings with the Intro and it's fully working (I've finished it), but I have no way to dump the disks :(

It's 2 disks, and I've no idea who cracked it. But it certainly isn't trained.

Oh, and Kempe , don't say Amiga ADFs are ROMS. Amiga games come in disks, not in cartridges.

kemppe 16 July 2002 14:25

Shatterhand: I know, you're right, but when it comes to emulators i just call all games "roms"

kemppe 16 July 2002 15:46

Andreas: Your version works fine, thank you!

Now here is another question, how many levels does this game have??

7-Zark-7 16 July 2002 15:51

@Akira. Are you getting mellow in your old age? Would've thought you'd jump on anyone calling Amiga games as "roms".:laughing :D

The first Lemmings game has 120 Levels (30 Fun Levels, 30 Tricky Levels, 30 Taxing Levels and 30 Mayhem Levels) :)

But that is plain WRONG!!!!! AGH!!!!!!

7-Zark-7: haha, I didnt spot that bit! That's why I reply now :D Im getting old! I'm surprised andreas didnt say a thing about it either :D

Exactly!
You can't miss this intro ... because it's a sort of Gameboy emulation. :)
Now all your bells should go "tinkle tinkle" like mad ;)

About the "roms" thing: well yes, I've been ignoring it for a certain while now. It's simply too silly to always abrade my keyboard just because of having to write the same thing all the time. :)

Nope! My version doesn't have the Nincrystal intro by Melon Dezign, it's got another one!

Tell you what, lemme dump the disk and upload it, so you see what the hell I have. Chances are it is a widely available version and, if not, well, you got a new version to collect :) It DOES have the Lemmings intro.

andreas 18 July 2002 23:31

Nice - I'll stay tuned.

Amiga1992 19 July 2002 05:57

ARGH!

Bad news...

Disk 1 imaged OK, but my disk two is knackered from track 60something and on... TransADF wouldnt read it :(

What do you want me to do with the incomplete image? I think I can dump dtracks 76 and 77 but not the others in-between.

I'm almost definitely sure that it is a Defjam crack.. Gotta xfer it to teh PC (I need a cable!)

andreas 19 July 2002 19:33

Sometimes, disk 2 can stay as is because it's only disk 1 that has to be cracked.
So just up disk 1 ... I'd like to take a look at it. Someone else might remember this version and say, "WAIT, I do know I've got the second disk somewhere..." :)
Moreover, in TOSEC, you often find versions that "only" have disk 1 available, most probably because disk 2 is identical to another disk 2 from a different crack...

Amiga1992 19 July 2002 20:11

That would be nice because Id like to restore my crack.

Will up it tonight!

Amiga1992 26 July 2002 01:08

Blah, it was a Skidrow crack + defjam trainer.. Disk 1 is in the zone anyway, perhaps someone has disk 2 so I can repair it....

ethylene 26 July 2002 04:19

Okay, every crack of Lemmings I've ever played (disk or ADF) seems to suffer from a corrupt instrument sample. It does not occur on every level, but when it does, the static is very noticeable.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Know of an unaffected crack? Does the original exhibit the same behavior?

I'll play through to an affected level and edit my post with the password, in the meantime.

Edit: 'Fun' Level 2: IJJLDNCCCN

Thanks

Amiga1992 26 July 2002 07:06

I have an original ans a lot of songs sound completely different to that crack I uploaded. Actually I preffer the sound on the crack!

I'll post examples as soon as I can.

Jim 21 May 2004 07:49

What happened with this?

I just noticed the other day with the TOSEC version level 22 Tricky is screwed up and crashes. I skipped it using the trainer.

By the way, level 22 is the Menace level - so I guess the corruption lies somewhere with the Menace graphics. All the other levels play fine including the other special Beast/Awesome levels.

Amiga1992 21 May 2004 09:09

I remember my copy crashed on the SOtB level.

who;s got the disks I uploaded?
