Necronom Level 1 in game music as a MOD file?

Does anybody have this? I have it as an OKT file but it would be extremely helpful for me to have this as a standard 4 channel MOD so I can remix and extend the track beyond 1 minute.

hmm, dont think ive even listened/heard any Oktalyzer music before, and the only music converter i know of (https://aminet.net/package/mus/misc/Noiseconverter) doesnt support that format, maybe theres some other conversion tool somewhere or something?

DisasterIncarna 24 March 2023 16:11

on a quick look-around, would perhaps https://github.com/milkytracker/MilkyTracker be of use? it supposedly supports loading all sorts of formats including Oktalyzer mods and can save as various other formats including MODs, no idea if it can handle anything to anything or if its limited in scope.

Heh, I've been using MilkyTracker for a while and never checked all the file format it supports. Converted file is in the zone.

EAB is such a great place, will have to check out this Milkytracker, and thank you very much TCD for converting the file for me.

The original tune is about 1 minute before it loops, there's 3 basic patterns, so the actual song as in the game starts about 1 minute in. I thought it was an XMplay issue at first.

Music seems to be using only 2 channels (0,1), there are also only 2 samples listed in XMplay sample info page, will have to compare with the MP3 of the tune I have to make sure it's not missing anything but it does sound right.

The MOD is missing a few pattern jump commands, but the notes and samples sound okay. Probably best to have a look at the OKT in MilkyTracker.

That okt file might be a cover, am not sure whether Linel by 1991 was still using its own tracker SoundFX
