WHDLoad 2MB A600 Pinball Fantasies, hangs mith music.
Trying out a few games on a 2MB ChipMem A600:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=53994 Pinball Fantasies seems to half-crash when the table selection screen is supposed to appear. The left side bar appears for a second then everything goes black with jerky music (as loading because of lack of memory usually) and - when loading is done I guess - the music starts playing normally but the screen stays black. I've tried pressing the F-keys to select a table, nothing happens. Tried all buttons, mouse and joystick - no luck. Any ideas what I could try (changing any Tool Types or prefs settings) or is downloading the installer and finding my original disks, making a proper install and try again the best and quickest solution? Has anyone else successfully run it on a 2MB A600? |
In the readme to the Pinball Fantasies slave it is written:
You need 1.0 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem. I think that lack of OtherMem is your problem. |
Ok, but for example CannonFodder2AL says it needs Chip: 512 Other: 508 and that runs just fine.
When there's a memory problem it usually either doesn't start (with an error window) or has screen flicker when loading. Pinball Fantasies behaves a little differently. |
