I'd be amazed if it was an RGB input. Most TV's that have HDMI inputs have RGB SCART inputs. Why not just use those?

As you say why not just use the RGB SCART Input :)

I bought one of these, it didn't work....

I only tried it on one telly tho. Had HDMI/Component/VGA/SVideo/Composite. It's near impossible to buy tellys with scart in AU these days, you need to make too many compromises.
