Difficulty in setting up 'System.zip' for Classic Workbench - possibly a shortcut?
Although at the moment I want to get WHDLoad working, Id also like to install Classic Workbench (especially if i cant get WHDLoad to install) but im having problems... :(
Basically, im trying to follow these instructions: Quote:
These are instructions for WinUAE and it asks you for a Workbench disk but how come when it wont recognise it on the PC? How do you get around this? I do have a PCMCIA card so could I simply place the 'system.hdf' file somewhere on my hard drive (if so...where would i put it?) and then bootup from a floppy I could create with the 'RealAmigaInstall.adf' on there? |
If you've inserted a WB disk into your PC it will not recognize this or ANY other disk (unless you have catweasel or one of those double-drive trick but that's another story).
If you're emulating, put an image of the disk into the emulated drive. If you're running the installer on a real Amy, put the wb disk into the drive. |
Do you know how i could get an image of Workbench? I appreciate that this is a very grey area but i have a copy of Workbench for the Amiga and the instructions for this program indiciate I need to use WinUAE (for this first part). But I dont have an image of Workbench that the PC will see.
Or is there a shortcut because I have a PCMCIA card? |
Well, you said you've got wb already on you real Amy, but it's kind of a no-no to post it here, so... ;)
