Can it do 50Hz? Mebbies I could use it on my borked 1200 to fix the brightness issue? I see RGB gain adjust! How much does it cost? - DAMN - it would be cheaper to buy a new 1200 board :(

I am - don't worry! Might not be when planned due to a screw up (not my fault - Its a BT / Other comms company cock up), I'll have to keep you posted.

None (or at least almost none) of these converters can do 50 Hz! :sad
Normal VGA frequencies have a vertical refresh >= 60 Hz.

That doesn't look too too bad. Maybe if the cable was shielded it would improve the picture quality. Theres a lot of EMF that they could be picking up. Also if you have VGA input on your TV, try that and see if that is better. (I never buy Dell, either for me or for work :)

Anemos 14 April 2009 00:27

No is not has not stability and clear signal, for gaming is good for desktop not.
so.. im on trying to connect and others machines, like Spectrum +3,Atari STE,ect..
also i want to fix some flickers or low signal with caps ,resistors,or any..
any way, i have already this from ebay with 55 euro only.

alexh 14 April 2009 10:03

This has an Averlogic AL250 which means you're limited to 16-bit colour :(

i.e. colour loss in AGA mode.

pbareges 14 April 2009 19:24

given indivision price, you shouldn't care about these....

alexh 15 April 2009 10:38

These boards can be bought for a lot lower than $99!

We've seen them as low as $49.99 with an average about $65

Here is the my new solution..(i have rdy test also on my Atari STE and working good. ):D
important:
1.needed stable transformer 12V with 1+Amp
2. cooled the 2 chip

I have got a problem with sync. It looks like some black or red lines are blinking or move/shake. Any idea what can be wrong?

have you this converter?
you can test to connect the composite sync (Amiga pin 10) to pin 5 (H) on converter, whit out using the line 6 (V) vertical.

JackTheKnife 30 June 2009 22:59

Hello Everybody

I'm new here, (sorry for my poor English)

I successfully tested this converter too, since many mouths now. Separated sync works fine but H+V, no.
http://stuffprojects.free.fr/index.p...d=14&Itemid=29

My ACV-011 is 2 years old now, maybe the news ones integer good H+V sync timing for the Amiga ?

I will also receive a new converter soon, cheaper (about 30$) i will post result.

Regards,

Greg.
