Superfrog Last Level

My wife has been playing Superfrog for quite some time now, and she's stuck in the very last level. I was wondering if you guys could help her out. Her question is:

"In the last level, before I meet the witch, I can't get passed the gap that has a lot of spikes".

There is a game map on the HOL entry for Superfrog and it looks like you would have to time a very well judged jump, hit the roof and at that exact time start using your wings (preferably with autofire!) to make it past the spikes. The fact the game places 2 wings pickups just before that suggests to me that it's the only way to complete it.

On some joysticks using autofire in this particular moment does not bring you any good. On my Python I can never make through the spikes with autofire. Without it, tapping fire with my finger I could even fly further :)

That's another thing, this is going to sound weird... I have two versions of Superfrog, a floppy disk version and the hard disk version. In the hard disk version, the wings are visible but you can't pick them up (they're only background graphics), and in the disk version they're not even there!! http://jumi.lut.fi/~junousia/hymiot/...ikeapaatos.gif Are you telling me that in the version you have you can actually take them?

You mean you can't pick any wings or just that particular ones which are next to the spikes?

I have finished this game many times and I haven't encountered anything similiar.

Are you playing on real Amiga or on emulated one?

I mean just the particular ones, on my real Amiga.

Anyway, she managed to complete it after reading your tips. Thank you!

After extensive searching I downloaded this from the producer's website as a bunch of .ADFs.

One of the files wasn't 880k, so that's screwed that up :(

PZ.

Just snag the IPFs from my site, then :)
