Gotek saves hi scores?
Hi.
Does anyone know if hi scores of games are saved to the adf when using the gotek? I tried with Time Soldier and everytime I reboot the amiga hi scores are back to default. |
I would say, it depends on the game. ( but i am not 100% sure )
Mine is still on it´s way from china to austria Maybe you try a few other games and let us know. I want to use the Gotek in my Amiga Cd32 Promodule for small and easy data transfer ( without burning a CD ) |
In other words the adf it emulates. It cant emulate with write enabled... I'll try other games but I doubt it'll work if itcan't save your score with one game.
Can more people with goteks try this please |
Quote:
– Read & Write 880KB ADF Files. – USB Key support. – FAT12,FAT16 & FAT32 support, Subfolder support. – Amiga software to select the ADF files on the USB key. – Tested on A500 & A600. Should work on all Amiga. |

Yes, not all games save high scores to floppy disk/harddrive.
Some games, like Megaball 3 (4?), save the highscores into the RAM disk. If you want to keep them you have to remember to save the file to disk/harddrive. When you play the game at a later date you have to remember to copy the file back to the RAM disk, otherwise it'll use the default hiscore table! |
On a 500 with gotek then it's impossible to save hi scores for example time soldier then? As it doesn't give you the option to save to disk?
|
Take into account that there are multiple reports on all Amiga forums, that writing on the Gotek sometimes corrupts the ADF.
I've seen it reported since the last FW release, nearly a year ago. |
As above Goteks are very unpredictable when it comes to writing to ADF files.

If anyone can confirm any game that can save hi scores. Please let me know
