PowerMonger New Worlds dd

Does anyone know of such a disk ?

I have a half sheet here in my PM manual :
Powermonger New Worlds Accessory Disk
Explore and conquer dangerous and exciting new worlds
Take up fresh challenges that test your expertise as a PowerMonger
Adapt your favourite stratagies to surprising new situations
Estimated release date is Feb 1991

did this turn out to be the WWI data disk ??

anyone ??

Hmmm, I think I had a copy of this "New Worlds Accessories" disk somewhere. You need the original disks to play it and the setup was a bit fidgety though...

I'll take a look when I get home tonight ;)

Excellent :) thanks

Hmmm, had a quick look last night through some DVDs which are full of .adf files but didn't find it. Sorry :sad

I'll search through some more tonight...

Damien - Are you thinking of Populous? I've never seen any data disks for Powermonger apart from the WW1 add-on.

Populous has add-ons such as the Promised Lands and World Editor.

Hey CodyJarrett,

You may be right... This would probably explain why I cannot find it on any of my DVDs :laughing

stainy, I know you said that you saw something about this in your PM manual, maybe it was never released though. Have you tried to fing info using google to see if it did actually exist?

CodyJarrett 10 January 2006 15:42

As Stainy suggests it probably became the WW1 data disk.

Ah ha, that makes sense. ;)

Sorry to derail this topic somewhat. But can someone give me a quick guide to this game. I've been playing it very occasionally on and off for something like 10 years now and I really have no idea what I'm meant to be doing. I can do the first level by sending the folks over to the top village and then then the inventing some stuff, finally attacking the village at the bottom. But I can't seem to beat ANY of the other levels. I've looked at so many guides over the years but just can't crack it.

I can get so far in the second level (I think I normally go for the level on the right of the first one) and capture &/or make alliances with the 3 smaller villages but not the main one. I just get killed.

Alliances are worthless really... unless you want to share weapons or food from that settlement. I have the official strategic and tactical guide here if you need help.. infact..

Here`s the path you should take.. from top left to bottom right ( of the conquest map )
1,1
2,2
2,3
3,3
4,3
4,4
5,4
5,5
6,5
6,6
6,7
7,7
8,7
8,8
9,8
9,9
9,10
9,11
9,12
9,13
10,13
11,13
12,13
13,13
13,14
13,15

From the main conquest map, you are reading across the top then down ( for the coordinates ( also you include the first map which is 1,1 ))

Take your time.. make sure you have plenty of food.. kill sheep or sit in a town and let the guys to to work in the fields.. invent passivly to make ploughs ( if there are fields nearby )
That should get you going :)

nice one man, I'll give it a go :)
