EAB File Server structure update

The user folder will be gone in a bit ;) After that is sorted, there will be changes to the whole folder structure, so downloads aren't guranteed to work. More about that later, for now just the 'User' folder is affected. Sorry if anyone is currently downloading something big from there.

Peter 11 August 2010 11:40

Should I not upload anything at the moment?

TCD 11 August 2010 11:42

Uploads are fine Peter :) They just won't get moved for now. Have the day off, so I hope I can get it all (kinda) sorted today.

Magix 11 August 2010 11:53

Go TheCyberDruid! ;) Now, I am not the only busy man. Wha ha hahaaa. :D

Thanks matey for your help, really. :great

Peter 11 August 2010 11:54

Ok - I have some uploads that are in my user folder at the moment which I have just updated the other thread about but I wont upload any more for a bit...

Cheers TCD

TCD 11 August 2010 11:55

Hehe :D Cheers Magix :great Will write you a PM later, but you could get the latest TOSEC set ready ;)

No worries, your uploads won't get lost, so just upload and I'll move them once the other stuff is sorted :)

TCD 11 August 2010 17:33

User folders sorted, now comes the funny part...
Nothing except for FTP uploads is guranteed to work until further notice :) If your download stops, you have been warned ;)

TCD 11 August 2010 19:54

Right, that's it. I'm done ;)
Here's an overview of the new structure :

    <Amiga Bootblocks (use at your own risk!)>
  <Magazine Cover CD>
    <Magazyn Amiga (Polish)>
  <Amiga Demobase>
  <GameBase Amiga>
  <PD (full versions)>
    <CD Scans>
    <Disk Labels>
  <The Zone!>
    <Acorn ClassicRiscOS>
    <Demo DVD>
    <PS2 Amiga Emulator>

Tried to clean up some stuff as well, but mainly it was about reducing the vast number of different subfolders and get stuff where it belongs. Have fun :great

Well done, mate! :great

That looks a lot easier to navigate. :agree

:bowdown :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown

TCD 11 August 2010 20:07

It really should be :) Also the response times should be faster now and the 'depth' of the folders should have decreased, so that you can get where you want to a little bit quicker ;)

Peter 12 August 2010 00:14

Great work TCD - this is much, much better - thanks for doing this.

antonvaltaz 12 August 2010 00:19

Awesome work TCD! :-)

DH 12 August 2010 00:22

Once again, great work TCD, I would of helped but I had my own *cough* problems to deal with as you already know ;)

TCD 12 August 2010 00:29

Cheers guys :) I think the file server is going quite well now upload wise, as people announce what they upload or at least give it decent names.
If you find duplicates or things that belong elsewhere, please let me (or DH ;)) know.

killergorilla 12 August 2010 01:21

Looks quite difficult to navigate now.

I think a complete restructure is in order.

TCD 12 August 2010 01:25

Did I mention that your pre-installed packs suck badly lately?

Magix 12 August 2010 10:32

WOW! Great work mate. Thank you very much.

TCD 12 August 2010 10:39

Cheers Magix :) And thanks once again for providing the webspace to make all this possible :great

Magix 12 August 2010 11:06

Naahh, forget about it, not so big deal. Everything is for our Amiga passion.
