Amiexpress Sysop in a Minute or More.
 

Just started a project on getting Amiexpress up and running in as little time as possible.

Just curious, but back in the day, some lamers thought it was funny to run up and crash AmiExpress boards (not sure which versions) by holding down the + key on the login screen and presumably causing some kind of buffer overrun or something. You had to do at least a couple of lines full of them.

Anybody know if that was that a known and fixed bug?

It was especially infuriating when the sysop had gone away for the weekend and the board was down!

I can't help thinking that OS 3.9 and Amikit is a MASSIVE waste of resources for a BBS. Why have the instructions been written for such a setup?

Easy to get to up and running quickly and internet is already mostly sorted.
I doubt anyone is planning on running a 20 node board, I am assuming it's a 1-4 node nostalgic BBS.

If enough people are interested and request another version it can be done.

There is now also a setup just for Workbench.
