Aminet: file twins??
Hi,
i've had perform an AntiTwin scan on Aminet recently - sorry for that.;) And i got some results: there are some files redundant, list below. My question is: Why? Is this with intention, like the demos are in \euro and \aga for example? Anyway, here is the list (180? files): |
Note: The scan involved byte-per-byte comparison (again: SORRY to Aminet team!), and second: Sorry for starting this thread in the wrong subforum, the structure here is still beyond me.;)

Maybe you should send an email about it to the Aminet administrator.

I don't know. Maybe they are pissed about deleting files or the way i discovered this.

Three things come to mind...
First: The issue is with Aminet and they should be the target of your concerns so that they be given the opportunity to comment. Not sure what your aim is here, coming onto a forum other than to moan. Second: Aminet have and always have provided a wonderful free service to the community and long may they continue to do so. I hardly think they would get annoyed at someone slagging them off on a forum and using profane language. Thirdly: And I cannot stress this enough. What on earth does it matter. So go take your issue with Aminet and please stop trying to give yourself some false sense of superiority picking flies with an outfit that has done so much good for this community with little reward. I seriously don't think moaning on a forum is going to do anything other than damage their hard work. Sorry for that... But I do need Aminet. |
