info on phoenix: operation firestorm?
 

Hello to all,

As I've recently stumbled on what was to be a promising space sim for the amiga known as phoenix: operation firestorm, I wanted to know a few things about the game:

Could someone tell me why it was canned? Also, since it's marked as pre-release, does it mean a work in progress/demo version can be found?

Pre-release are the wrong name.

It was a non-public Alpha release.

@AndreasM: Was it ever released on AF-CDRom? If not will the AlphaVersion be published on AF-CDRom sometimes?

Hmm, works fine here. Screenshot 20 looks different. Which screenshot thumbnails open the wrong picture?

It might be an old HOL bug which caused problems in some entries. I'll check it out.

I rearranged the screenshots recently for Phoenix, so if they're not lining up with the thumbnails then that old HOL bug has reared its ugly head again.

I inserted the screenshots for Phoenix, but they weren't from any demo. The game is listed as unreleased in HOL. Perhaps AndreasM might be able to tell us why the game didn't end up being released by APC&TCP.

it would be good of him to also give us access to the alpha release...if at all possible.

any news yet on that front?
