So this is where you're all hiding now :)
Rather than type it all out again heres the url for the original request just in case someone has it: http://pub8.ezboard.com/fgodfleshsre...icID=895.topic
Reward mentioned in the post still stands for anyone who can find it. Thanks.

When I had an Amiga about 10 years ago I had a game called Mayhem.

It was a 2-4 player game with the screen being split for each player (split in 2 for 2 players and split into 4 for 3 or 4 players).
You each controlled a ship similar to an asteroids ship with Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Thrust, Fire and Sheild.
2 Players could use joystick and 2 used keys.
There were at least 4 different maps to play on...all were caverns with different layouts and graphics.
Every map had refuel pads to land on.
You could change the number of lives from 1 to 15.
I don't know if this was a fully released game or shareware.
It came on 1 disk.
There were no computer controlled players.

I have been looking on every Amiga site to find this game but I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.

If you know where I can find it (I would be happy to pay for a copy) please email me on :

beelzebubuk@yahoo.com

or ICQ me on :

26128141

Thanks very much
IanCharge: 'Is This'
What you are looking for ;)
Mayhem
If it is payment is not required :D

BeelzebubUK:
Nope. I've donwloaded that one twice in the last day in 2 different sizes but its definitely not the one.
Thanks for replying so quick though.
And believe me I'd make you take the payment if you found it. I'd be so grateful

IanCharge: 'Check here'
At Warlock99's WWW (Dave Letterman reference of the day;)) he has a mayhem listed in his download's section (Doesn't seem to download though) Send him a PM or something asking him for it (Politely:D)

BeelzebubUK:
I tried looking at that site earlier today but got the same problem with downloading. Have sent him a very polite email asking if he can send it to me (fingers crossed)
Cheers

IanCharge: Apparently
Half of his games were deleted (News on his main page), Mayhem must have been in that half:mad

BeelzebubUK:
Got a mail back from Warlock. Unfortunately his copy was the same as all the other sites appear to have so no joy for me.
The quest continues....

BeelzebubUK:
You wouldn't believe how much I want this game. Anybody know of any other decent boards where I might post my request ? I'm thinking that I might have better luck on some German boards.

fredtgreat:
Try Ebay UK, if you find the game, buy it, then transfer it using a myriad of Amiga disk to adf transer utilities.
Unless you have a real Amiga, which would make that all superflous.
Another sugestion...if you have an Atari St emu, see if it ever was published for that system. I know the Amiga one would be better, of course, but dammit you say you really want the game...

BeelzebubUK:
Thanks for the advice (any advice is always appreciated). Trouble is that I'm 99% sure it was never a fully released game. It was either a preview of a game or a shareware so my only hope is if someone is selling a bulk load of disks and it happens to be in there and that could take a long time and a lot of money to get lucky :)
Other problem is that I do have a real Amiga 1200 and the only way to play the game is multiplayer with 4 people hence I can't use an emulator or get an Atari ST version.
Although I will have a look at Atari lists because if it was released on the ST and I can actually show some screenpics of the game then that should get me a lot more closer to finding the game for the Amiga.
Cheers.

RCK, do you have the picture that went with this thread? I think that was what Beezlebub UK was basing his search on

RCK 04 November 2001 14:26

like I said in the other thread: no.
this picture should have been posted after the last message I could restore.

Good news BeelzebubUK, the screenshot in question was of a thrust type game called Executioner

If you look just below this post you'll see some screenshots taken by §ane:great

Here's a few pix from the Executioner game.

BeelzebubUK 04 November 2001 22:03

Thanks everybody and especially Sane for that marvellous picture. The more I look at The Executioner the more I keep thinking the game developer decided not to bother with the multiplayer part....it looks really familiar. The bottom right screenshot looks exactly what I remember of the game.

I think I'll download it just to see of the controls feel eeeeerily familiar.

BTW Guys - I have 3 boxes with about 2800 Amiga disks waiting for me to look at and list. When I finally look at them I'll post a complete list for you all to look through.

I did a bit of editing. Hope this jogs somebodies memory :

A pirate copy of Windoze XP to the person who helps find this game:D

Ten copies to those who don't:laughing

BeelzebubUK 13 November 2001 10:07

I mentioned it in one of the earlier threads but just in case everyone had forgot there is a reward of £50 to whoever finds this game for me (deadly serious here)

BeelzebubUK 21 November 2001 21:00

Back to the top my pretty :kill

Amiga1992 22 November 2001 16:52

Still no luck? lemme rename the thread to make it a bit more interesting to teh eye.... :)

BeelzebubUK 23 November 2001 11:45

Thanks Akira. Much appreciated.

???????

:cheese

BeelzebubUK 23 November 2001 16:23

Good try but I've already tried that one. Thanks for looking. In fact I've gone through every similar sounding game on Aminet :(

CHiEF 23 November 2001 16:53

mmmm thats a tricky one...
the only other thing i can suggest is to try the amiga exotica project. log on to ircnet #amigaexotic , or go to the website and email the guys http://exotica.fix.no ... i know they've got some kind of game database going with a lot of info on amiga games.

Amiga Power - Issue 50 - Disk 2 - "CoverWare" game entitled "Gravity Power"

What is Gravity Power?

GP is Bits' version of the original Gravity-Force from Kingsoft.
Some improvements to a fantastic game!

The *original* idea is old, and many games like this exist, f.ex.
"Thrust", "Mayhem", "TurboRaketti", "The Executioner", "Zarathrusta" aso.
This proves that it does exist!

And it is none of the following shown below, the first is apparently a "scene game" programmed by demo coders, the last two are general PD games.

BeelzebubUK 23 November 2001 18:52

Hehe....got to be the worst game to be looking for because there is a game with the same name that even has the same gameplay. Must be over a year I've been looking for this game now.

I'll give that exotica link a try though. Cheers.

BeelzebubUK 02 January 2002 00:10

Just had an email from someone who also remembers playing this game and hopefully one of his friends still has it. So thought I'd update this and wish everyone a happy new year (looks like a promising year for me now :) )

Warlock99 19 January 2002 11:28

mayhem

LOL

You're never going to believe this beezlebub...

Dpainter has had mayhem all along, but he's too drunk to post it at the moment. I'm sure he'll upload it soon though...

It's on 3 disks, it's 4 player and i'll be damn surprised if it's not the right game.
