Convert Impulse Tracker (.it) files to Amiga Mod?
 

I have some Impulse Tracker music files that I would really like to convert so I can play them through Blitz Basic. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Can't ImpulseTracker export Soundtracker modules?

I suppose it depends how many channels the .it mods use.

If it's 4 or less, doesn't OpenMPT have compatibility export option in the file menu?

And I think Milkytracker can export to .mod in the DiskOp menu.

Any effects in the .it mods will probably be lost I would expect...

Got excited over OpenMPT but you're right about the number of channels so my MOD is a no go :(

And the .IT module must not have:
- Bidi/ping-pong loops
- Samples bigger than 131070 in size
- Less or more than 64 rows in a pattern (less can be OK if there's room for inserting a pattern break command)
- More than one sample per instrument (multi-samples)
- Notes outside of the C-4..B-6 range
- Linear frequencies flag enabled (not compatible with Amiga periods)
- Instrument envelopes
- Low-pass/resonance filters
- NNA (New Note Action)
- Stereo samples
- Panning effects
- Initial channel volumes set (initial pans are also discarded)
- Non-PT effects

And the list goes on. IT->MOD is just not going to work out very well unless the IT was made with MOD limitations in mind to begin with.
