Monkey Island - min. req. 512Kb version?
 

I am not really sure what is the best section for this so feel free to move it if needed. Did a bit of search and did not come with anything about it (+ I keep getting "Server unreachable" when trying to do a search in the SPS database).


While browsing the boxscans for Monkey Island, I noticed that the bottom one (Topshots Deluxe) has a sticker specifying "min. 512K RAM", whereas all the other boxes specify min. = 1Mb.


I see three possibilities:

1) The sticker holds false information. Most likely I guess.
2) There is a version of MI that only needs 512Kb. Magically rewritten for a budget release? I doubt it.
3) The original 1 Mb requirement was exaggerated. Would that make sense?

Well, at least the original release require 1 MB ram. Just tried it with 512KB in WinUAE and got a "not enough memory" guru. The manual also mention a minimum of 1 MB ram.

Correct! They just stuck the wrong label onto the box. Easily done I guess. :p
