IBrowse 2.5 released

"30th August 2019 - Oliver Roberts and the IBrowse Team are pleased to

announce the immediate release of IBrowse 2.5 for AmigaOS 3.x and 4.x.

After many years in the making, development has been on a roller

coaster since IBrowse 2.4, with challenging personal, technical and

commercial issues complicating the release schedule. However, we are

extremely happy to finally make this new version available to all the

valued users who have been waiting so patiently."

ha, just posted the same at the News section, at last 2.5 is here!

fatbob_gb 30 August 2019 22:22

Its just good to see active development and be able to purchase a valid license again.

Jope 30 August 2019 22:29

Whee, a new version. Boohoo, must pay more, my old key doesn't work.

I guess this is the only way they could make any money, probably everyone who didn't buy a legit key before the store went down has acquired a warez key from somewhere.

At least there is a cheap upgrade available for those of us who did manage to register it way back when.

Jope 30 August 2019 23:01

Woo, that was fast. Posting this from my 4k using a registered IBrowse 2.5. :-)

fatbob_gb 30 August 2019 23:05

I was one of those people that has never had a 'valid' license - I do now though.:D

E-Penguin 30 August 2019 23:27

Well there goes September's disposable income already :)

And you posted both at the same time (hour and minutes). I'll merge the two threads, not sure which one vbulletin will put on top (it probably stores the seconds, but it is not visible to us).

fatbob_gb 31 August 2019 00:04

I think the news section is the preferable place for the thread

utri007 31 August 2019 01:17

Does this support pages better than 2.4?

AMIGASYSTEM 31 August 2019 01:53

I would say that not much has changed, sincerely I expected to give more.

so you've fully tested it already and you're saying it hasn't changed much from v2.4??

Magic 31 August 2019 03:44

Awesome! I have been waiting a long time for this to happen. I just bought my keys. Great Job Team!

Bruce Abbott 31 August 2019 05:21

Posting from IBrowse 2.5 demo on my WB3.0 A1200, woohoo!

One small problem - IBrowse wanted to open keymap.library V39, but my machine only has V37. To get around this I changed the byte at file offset $86f71 from $27 to $25. Seems to be working OK so far...

savior 31 August 2019 06:19

Exactly what do you mean by 'doesn't work'? What does it do?
