kipper2k

Is the for the Amiga only or will it work on the Commodore 64? I am seeing really if it is Shredz64! compatible.

i already use two of this adapter on my A1200, and i'm very happy with it.

But this week i plugged one in my A500+ .. and surprise... one of 2 resistors near the joy connector started to burn with a white smoke... :shocked

re-plug my Speedking Joystick, no prob all is working...

re-test : psx-adapter.. re white smoke... STOP.. and i don't know why i can't use it in my A500+ :crying

Are you saying it works ok in the A1200 but causes smoke in the 500+ ? If you have an Ohm meter measure resistance across pins 7 and 8 of the adapter and see if you have a short, also measure pin 7 to the steel casing to see if there is a short there.

Exactly !

Will test with my Multimeter after work to see what happening...

thx :)

ancalimon 14 June 2014 16:26

I have found two Playstation2 pads at home. Will these work with them?

That is bizarre, i cannot see any logical reason why this would happen, if it was shorting out in the A500+ then it would do the same in the A1200. Also, does the Speedking joystick have a plastic 9 pin connector or metal, if plastic then plugging it in may not cause a short, whereas the PSX adapter does have a metal plug, this could indicate a problem with the A500+ motherboard

@Ancalimon. the PS2 controllers will work fine as long as they are not wireless.

I'll be making more this weekend so i will go back through the requests in the thread

Riempie 14 June 2014 20:04

Still haven't received my 2 psx-adapters... Hope they aren't lost :(

Nothing between 7-8 and nothing between 7 and all 9 pins from DB9..

Where is supposed to be connected ?

ancalimon 14 June 2014 20:15

I would like two please.
