Amiga VGM Players?

Is anyone aware of any VGM players that are available for the Amiga in assembler?

Any help is really appreciated, have had a look and can't see anything obvious.

What is VGM? According to G**gle some kind of music player?

I suppose he means the format used for Sega music.
Since it's a logging format, implementing it for the Master System's SN76489 should be quite easy, whereas doing it for Megadrive music would be quite a task considering it has a lot more channels than a stock Amiga and uses complex FM synthesis.

VGM (video game music) player

This is what i was wondering since the the magadrive was on the market it should be nice if it was possible on Amiga to make a VGM player, to play some of those great VGM chiptunes, lately i saw it for MSX version too. And a sid player is there for the amiga, so anyone ever started thinking or programming such a player which emulates the Yamaha soundchip..??

see here: https://bitbucket.org/grauw/vgmplay-msx/src

The MSX version works because it just needs to spool the data to the sound chip, hence it only will work for MSX formats and not for Sega sound.

Making a player for basic three-channel MSX sound VGM files should not be that hard, since there already is an AY-3-8910 player for Spectrum/CPC/ST tunes.

I came to the same conclusion as you for this so I might have a crack at it later in the year.
