I hope there is! It's a fantastic piece of hardware and works like a charm!
I'll probably get one more (as I have one already) if you make another batch.

Nice. I'm not personally interested but I like it.

Is it easy to tell on the silk screen which pin is which? On each port?

Every Port has a printed Pin1 so should be easy.

cosmicfrog 05 May 2010 16:46

I`t be nice if there were some cheap things that plugged into the clockport
at the very least a cheap clock

Peter 05 May 2010 16:58

Nice item but cosmicfrog is right - there aren't too many clock port devices around to use... are there?

DJBase 05 May 2010 17:49

At least sound and usb cards. Maybe someone also needs an i/o card like silversurfer.

Cammy 05 May 2010 18:56

I'd definitely like a couple, although I only have a Subway so far to stick on one. Hopefully more Clockport expansions will come out in the future, and I agree that even a small battery-backed clock would be handy for people with a RAM card that doesn't have its own clock.

Are they compatible with the A603's Clockport? It'd be so cool to stick one in my A600 :)

gulliver 05 May 2010 19:10

Yes, that clockport 4 way expansion is excellent. I believe there is a market for it, as it provides an elcheapo kind of bus expansion for other devices to be plugged in. I know it is not really fast, but then it is far cheaper and less bulky than other solutions.

To this day you can plug:

1-A real time clock
2-An USB interface card (subway)
3-A soundcard
4-Serial ports
5-Paralel ports
6-A catweasel floppy adapter

It would be great to have more clockport devices!

Bottomline: Build more of these, you will certainly sell them. But this time, you should advertise a little bit more about them.

Cammy 05 May 2010 19:16

Also there are MP3 decoders, and the RR-Net ethernet card which connects to the Clockport (but has no drivers). More, new expansions would be great :)

Hey,

Im interested in grabbing atleast one of theese.
And Im pretty damned sure more people are, I was about to make one myself some months back but scratched plans for it.

Your work seems damned good. And from what I can tell from what other people here say it is quite correct that when I was looking for people making theese last year I didnt find you.
...
So perhaps with some adverticing more people will flag their interest.

Hell It made me re-register here after loosing my Logins many years past.
*Im mostly on the swedeish amiga-Forums theese days.

Let me know :) You can email me on the adress thats added in my profile.

It should work but I am not sure if the drivers are ready for that as the clockport on the amiga 600 is a bit different. I don't have an a600 with a603 so I can't test it.

Zetr0 06 May 2010 13:08

@DJBase

I would like 2 of them =)

I'll gief it a try tomorrow mate since I have an A600 with 030 plus A603 and I also have your adapter and report back! :)

mfilos 06 May 2010 23:10

Well just tried and doesn't seem to work :S
Dunno if the signals you get from the kickstart differs between A600 and A1200.

Tbh even if it works it needs 2 modifications:
1. Extension to the 2wires from kickstart socket since the kickstart of A600 is more far than A1200's than the clockport connector (meaning A603's connector)
2. Clockport expander fits in A603, BUT ONLY if you don't have an Indivision ECS on top. If you do, then you'll realise that the PCB of Clockport expander interferes with the Denise socket alas making it impossible to fit.

I tried in 2 ports but my Subway didn't seem to work at all. I removed the Clockport expander and then it worked like a charm on A603.

Zetr0 06 May 2010 23:54

It might be a base address fault, perhaps with the driver?

man i need to read up more clockport specifications...

CD32 07 May 2010 00:32

I want one as I do have to things to plug into the clockport.
USB and the MP3 decoder.

So when will I be able to order it ? :)

Peter 07 May 2010 01:23

Pencil me in for one please - depending on price.
