Are those guys for real?:confused

I only found some references from Amiwest '09 and a few pages on some Wikipedia-style pages.

Very interesting hardware ideas, all tending to use intensive VHDL code + FPGA chips.

They don't need DDR RAM. Ordinary SDRAM tops out at speeds you can't even reach with a water-cooled 1E41J 060, and it's widely available in sizes more than sufficient for an Amiga. Then again, if DDR is so much cheaper to implement like they say it is I guess it doesn't matter.

It's a more than plausible idea, and if they had any help from the dudes who made the CT60 accelerator for the Atari Falcon (the only accelerator of it's kind to use SDRAM) they might be able to pull it off.

Yeah, it is actually cheaper to make a complete Amiga that runs faster than the original one than to create an accelerator board.
Plus, you do not have the decaying issue ;)

Hey guys! I just stumbled across this "old" post here while doing some perusing, and wanted to make this clear...All the ideas on the Inertial Computing site, which is mine, are brainstorms! Nothing has been "announced" for a reason. I didn't feel the need to hide it behind closed doors because I'd rather the ideas float around and perhaps inspire other new ones. That said, I am experimenting with a low-cost Coldfire microcontroller, interconnected to the Zorro II bus with the same type of quickswitches which Tim is using in his Zorro III SDRAM module. I'm insanely busy with work and life in general, but this is something I'd really like to bring to fruition, and as a result, I know it will happen, but when is less important to me than the fact that it does, at some point.

Feel free to contact me directly if you so desire. I am a believer in bouncing ideas off one another and in brainstorming in general, which is why I opted to document my ideas in a public manner such as the Inertial Computing Wiki.
