Getting RSI megademo working on an A1200
 

Okay I've tried to do everything I can think of before starting a thread about this but I'm totally stumped now.

Symptoms:
Demo loads okay, intro with the Arnold heads plays fine as does the next one with the four spinning bars. After that demo goes into a loading - decrunching loop until software failure occurs.

Tried:
Relockick and TUDE
Different images from the web
WHDLoad install - Same symptoms as disk
Different floppies

Edit: My a1200 is completely stock apart from the CF-IDE card.

Has anyone got this working on an A1200?

Also now tried expansion ram and fake fast 512k + 512k.

Solved.

The answer is that both versions link to by pouet.net and bitfellas are broken. I had to search for an adf version, which worked through disk 1 and died at disk 2. Installed it via whdload and voila it works.

it would be interesting to inform them about that broken disk, it's a classic.
BTW Psygore (author of the WHDLoad install) host both disk on his website
