missing entry: WET - The Sexy Empire

"WET - The sexy empire" is not listed in the HOL. Published 1999 by New Generation Software (http://www.newgsoft.com).

It's a straight PC port, here's a German review: http://www.funtime-world.de/test/wet.html

Might have been released only in Germany, don't know. At least it has German speech output.

RetroMan 13 January 2003 09:38

Damn, you were faster :D I got this game and after playing it some days ago I wanted to look at the HOL Screenshots and I saw it was missing :)

CodyJarrett 13 January 2003 10:15

Wet: The What?!

Hmmmm. I've added it to HOL: http://hol.abime.net/?id=3982

However, we still need screenshots for it - 1 titlescreen, 9 in game screens and any company logos. Also, credits too.

Was it published on the Amiga by New Generation Software or did they do the PC version?

DrBong 13 January 2003 16:11

@Korodny, RetroMan

IIRC an English version for the Amiga was promised, but never surfaced. Is that right?!

That would be RetroMan's job, as I don't have the game and there's no demo version available.

They did the PC version, I'm not sure who did the Amiga version. However, IIRC New Generation Software are the former Oxyron guys (at least "Trapped 2" - which is definately a Oxyron release - was done by New Generation Software), so it's likely that they also did the Amiga version. But I guess RetroMan can tell us more about that, as he's got the original.

It was not published by FuntimeWorld btw. I don't know the publisher.

No idea :/

Twistin'Ghost 13 January 2003 18:28

I recall someone posting images from this game some time back, but I don't recall who.

Twistin'Ghost 13 January 2003 18:29

Here's another (there's five screens in my "Wet" dir)

RetroMan 13 January 2003 21:37

@Twist

AFAIR I posted them ;) I´ll take some more if my PeCe is back running again (just formating my new 120GB HD :D) ! Taking Screenies on A1200 can be a pain in the ass :cheese

Just had a look at the Cover, it says : (C)INTERACTIVE STRIP / NEW GENERATION SOFTWARE ,1998 :)

Twistin'Ghost 13 January 2003 22:09

Is yours the Amiga version? If so, we really need a title screen and cover scans, if possible.

I mainly chose these two pics because they fit in the under 100k range. :D

Yup :) I´ve bought the Amiga Version from EBay some time ago :D
As I said, as soon as my PeCe is in working condition again, I will make the scans and screenshots :)

Fissuras 14 January 2003 00:37

This is a game that looks really good... I will give it a try as soon as I get my hands on it.

Mr Creosote 14 January 2003 14:23

Addition to Korodny's information: it was also released as a regular AGA floppy disk version which had to be installed to a hard drive.
