OMG really? They have that much money for plastic surgery so they can look like their favourite game hero? :eek

Agreed, great thread, I'm very surprised at the similarity of IK+ in particular.
Just going slightly Off-topic, I remember reading a preview in "The One" about Dune & how they had to change the character graphics for one of the characters as they too strongly resembled Sting's character of the movie version.
Likewise I seem to recall reading something about Last Action Hero(or was it T2?) suffering the same problem where the computer version's main sprite couldn't closely resemble Arnie, despite it being an official license!

Very, very funny thread indeed.

I never noticed the similarities between games and personalities.
When I come to think of it, I remember an advert of Cabal which features a blonde soldier whose face is very similar to Dolp Lundgren. I have no pictures, though.

Pretty Cool thread ..... :)

I can't believe the resemblence between Steven Segal and the IK+ Guy.

WOW that's kinda spooky :nervous

Kodoichi 31 October 2002 19:53

Some people here don't get it that illustrators and artists need reference pics to draw...

:sleep

Amiga1992 31 October 2002 20:45

NO COPY. GREETZ TO ....
:D

Kodoichi 31 October 2002 22:20

But isn't it funny that most of the best scene-artist copied other artist's work?

Amiga1992 01 November 2002 04:21

Yep.
The Vallejo pics. Damn! Please no more! I really dont like Vallejo that much, I preffer Soriyama :D There is an artist who should have been copied a lot in the demo scene, with all his cybergirls!

I think there were some C64 Soriyama-copy pics though...

Kodoichi 01 November 2002 08:13

I think there is a slideshow with Soriyama pics for the Amiga…

Amiga1992 01 November 2002 08:30

Will have to look into that then. Thanks for the pointer.
