A500 CPU riser

Hi,

I'm looking for a solution to rise my A500 M-Tec accelerator a few millimeters to accomodate the wires of a kickstart switcher underneath it. I have no idea where to start. Anyone has a good advice or some search terms for me to look for? I guess it can be found at Farnell or Conrad, no?

Thanks

One usual tricks for such modifications is to socket the CPU and then run the wires to the socket

It's a nasty job but serves a purpose for explanation, solder the wire to the socket underneath.

Why not use a simple:

or

...found in every electronics store?

precise DIL socket recomended, avoid using ordinary DIL sockets.

Thanks guys. About the "plastic socket extender" solution, is it enough to simply specify "DIL socket"? I mean, could I get wrong regarding the pitch (distance between holes)?

just search for precise DIL 64 socket, if not available try to use precise SIL 32 pin
