"Updating" ClassicWB 24>26?
Sorry for not so informal title, I just could not come up with anything better ;)
So, I have v24 running on a 4 GB cf (1200/64MB/50Mhz). I'd really like to update to v26, but I'd really would not want to open my A1200 to get the cf out. (the case is a bit of a mess...). I have a working pcmcia-to-sd -adapter, so I though I just transfer the new version to the system partition (installed in Winuae). Then it occurrred to me that there might be some problems due to being forced to boot from a floppy... (sd being not available etc etc) Is this possible with a standard WB boot floppy? If not, what would you guys suggest? |
Ok, I figured I add some necessary files to WB3.1 floppy. Added compactflash.device in to DEVS:, fat95 in L: and CF0 in DEVS/DOSDrivers. Now when I boot with the WB3.1 floppy I can see the sd card on the "desktop", but I cannot view the contents of the card (wb opens a window, but it shows no icons for any files on the card...). Why is that?

Select Window -> Show -> All Files from the menu.
