chip ram gone

I was wondering if there is a way to find out what software is chewing up my chip ram. I have an A500 with an aca500 and aca 1232. There is 1 meg chip present. I tried to install a megachip that I have, but it just causes the power light to blink. I have it set up with AOA 3.9 with boing bag 2. Dopus 5, mui and Poseidon. no other software has been installed or running in the background. The screen is set up for 640x400 with 16 colours, but I only have 541376 bites of chip ram left. No image loaded as a background. I would like to get the megachip working, but barring that I would like to know were the 1/2 a meg of chip ram is going to.
Thanks

Snoopdos?

Set some "avail chip >>ram:chiplog.txt" lines in S-S/U-S. Without quotes. Then you can see what is grabbing chipram. Notice that for a 640x400x4 screen 128000 bytes chipram is used (if I`m not wrong).

How much Fast RAM is in use? If it uses more Chip RAM than Fast RAM, then your Fast RAM perhaps is not reset-proof so that resident modules like the OS 3.9 ROM Update are going into Chip RAM.
