Megadrive is now on sale with 15 games free

The Megadrive is back - brand new and at a third of the original price!

Plays all the original games too!

I can not see Sega logo anywhere...

Retro-Nerd 21 March 2009 01:06

It's maybe better than this Tectoy crap, but i still prefer the Sega Mega Drive I original console. This Blaze MD lacks RGB out, so it's a "No go!".

Parsec 21 March 2009 01:11

Kind-of a nice idea, but it's bulky compared to the C64 joystick. The ability to play cartridges is a nice touch though.

This might be relevant :)

You can now:

Pure ugliness. I highly doubt that it's compatible with all the old MD catridges. Would be a nice gimmick for £10-15, but not for £37.99.

killergorilla 21 March 2009 01:22

It does look as cheap as anything.

Retro-Nerd 21 March 2009 01:31

I heard better things about this multi-console clone, if we are talking about compatibility:

TCD 21 March 2009 01:48

Maybe Bloodwych can tell us about the compatibilty when he got his 'MegaDrive' ;)

frikilokooo 21 March 2009 01:58

I would buy one of those consoles if cartdigen games were sold too, type "1001 in 1"

Zetr0 21 March 2009 03:57

I Smell Hackery!!!!

You won't catch me buying one of these. I've got my emulation box for that kind of thing. Plus I'd much rather have a nice quiality built Wii remake as it too has games built in:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/ITEK-WIRELES.../dp/B001K0TOXS

it's bound to be better than an old 16bit Megadrive? Isn't it? It has quality game titles like FISH WARS! Class! ;)

TCD 21 March 2009 09:56

Seems like there is a market for those 'replicas'. I've heard about a NES/SNES one (quite similar to the one Retro posted) once, but wouldn't have thought that there are actually quite a few of those around. I would really like to know how this 'Wii' is like ;)

Avanze 21 March 2009 14:01

15 games is hardly anything, why not 50, or 100? I would prefer to see a new portable MD.

Something like that maybe : http://www.segaretro.net/megadrive-g...-handheld.html ;)

discomeats 21 March 2009 19:04

"The World's First Sega Megadrive Handheld Console"

ahem, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_Nomad

some confusion going on I guess

Retro-Nerd 21 March 2009 19:05

No confusion. Avanze asked for a new MD portable, and there is this Blaze handheld.

discomeats 21 March 2009 19:12

it's still not the first though is it...

confusion stands. :spin

s2325 21 March 2009 19:14

It still have bad soundchip...

discomeats 21 March 2009 19:20
