CD32 blue button functions differently
I was playing DragonStone CD32 version on winuae and realized that cd32 blue button function, no matter which joystick or mouse button it is mapped to doesn't function the way it should but works like green or yellow buttons, pausing the game, rather than opening a menu. When I copy the exact whdload game folder to my real amiga and plug a real cd32 pad, it works normally. I don't understand anything. :confused I'm using the whdload version released by DeCreator.
I mapped blue to my left mouse button rather than my second gamepad button but the result was the same. |
Unfortunately I don't have real CD32 nor CD32 pad (never had one) which makes testing harder..
Also many games read CD32 pad directly and everyone seems to use different reading routine and expects some weird side-effects from CD32 pad hardware.. Does it work in older releases? Joyport hardware emulation has changed many times and usually it results in broken CD32 pad emulation :) |

Chuck Rock 2 CD32
Hey! Seems i have same problem with Chuck Rock 2 CD32 version. Blue button (under emu) works badly - instead jumping it pauses whole game. But if you press it twice (fast) then Chuck jumps. =/

Even in 0.9.90? It must be fixed now.

My fault...

Update: WHDload version 1.1 of SSF2T under WinUAE 9.90/9.91. Now confirmed under SEVERAL other titles.
Interestingly enough there seems to be a bug with the Red CD32 Button mapping. JOY2 CD32 Red button gives the same output as the JOY2 CD32 Yellow Button (WinUAE 9.90/9.91) However JOY1 CD32 Red works correctly. If someone could please confirm this, as I have tested it several times now myself and had the same conclusion every time now. |
