WinFellow 'alpha v0.4.4 build 4' released
Gentlemen, a new snapshot release of WinFellow, named 'alpha v0.4.4 build 4', is available for download via:
http://fellow.abime.net/new_version/index.php The snapshot release of WinFellow makes it possible to boot the AROS adf-image. AROS is a lightweight, efficient and flexible desktop operating system. In regard to WinFellow alpha v0.4.4 build 3, the improvements are: 1. Fixed hangup of WinFellow when booting AROS adf-image 'bootdisk-amiga-m68k.adf' of 2011-11-14. Fixed hang up on bit 'serial port ready', allowing the AROS adf-image to boot succesfully. It is a tiny update indeed! |
Worfje, can you post a link for the AROS adf-image 'bootdisk-amiga-m68k.adf' of 2011-11-14, please?
The latest I can find is dated 2011-05-24. :sad Edit: Okay, I've found it here: http://aros.sourceforge.net/download.php I was looking in the archives. :rolleyes |
Thanx

Whatever motivated this new work on WinFellow? My posts? :D
Great work so far in getting AROS-68k booting, but what configuration is used? I get stuck with a grey screen after rebooting using "AROS-20111114-amiga-m68k-boot\bootdisk-amiga-m68k.adf", Amiga Forever Kickstart 3.1, 68020/68030 @ 28MHz, 2MB Chip, 8MB Fast, ECS. P.S. It seems about time Cloanto's Amiga Forever auto-updated to the latest WinFellow snapshots (as an alternative Amiga emu), given the last "release" build was February 2005... |

Next to this, it was a very easy fix and I was interested in the status of the serial emulation in WinFellow. Quote:
Does anyone know which version is distributed in Amiga Forever 2012? I am also curious what is now possible with AROS using WinFellow? Did someone insert the AROS live CD after booting the AROS adf-image? |
