What is the normal speeds of the crystal, as i have just bought one but the crystal has been knocked off and will need to be replaced.
Will the cpu have a speed on it like 25 or 50 and i double the speed for the crystal like 50 or 100.

Plus is there anyone still doing 040 to 060 upgrades on here?

The CPU will have a suggested speed printed on it, eg MC68040RC40. You are right about the crystal being double that speed.

Regarding the upgrade, you might want to send stachu100 a PM.

Yes Stachu is a Member of these boards and has upgraded many Apollo/Blizzard cards including PPC's his work is of a real high standard, I own one of the 330mhz PPC/ 72mhz 060 Blizzard boards he upgraded and its awesome :bowdown

He uses the latest mask 060 so they run cooler and can be overclocked too.
