I might have dreamt it but I think back then I also saw listings for Magic Carpet - I know they said it never happened........

There was also a VHS with inferno and TFX saying for CD32 soon - it might be on YouTube.

Hi

Going back a bit here! I remember Mighty Max, we were asked to do it by Ocean but were pretty restricted on what we could do, I remember the game wasn't great (we were pretty rushed to get it done).

The Amiga version was never released, and it was by far the best version as I recall. Unfortunately nothing remains of it, I was always a bit slack at archiving my work I'm afraid.

I am pretty sure I saw listings of Magic Carpet... and all the others you included in your post, but if any of them really existed I think they should have already turned up by now. Although anything is possible, e.g. as we saw last year with Center Court 2.

I have "Alpha Version 1.41" somewhere (I discovered it in a box of CD-Rs that were whipped from the Commodore UK offices on the day they went bust).

I remember trying it with WinUAE a couple of years back, but after the Lance Boyle intro finished, the emu crashed. Must try it with the latest version some time ...

There was also an early version of some golf game (v0.01 I think) in amongst the CD-Rs, plus lots of buggy/incomplete games, as well as a number of games that were marked with a date and the word "Final" (one day I'll create a load of .ISO files just in case anybody wants to check whether there are any minor differences between these and the final, retail versions).

Guys I made a list of unreleased CD32 games a while back to check over;

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=81258

Plus yes it’s so sad that the only hope of any alpha/beta CD32 demos have faded with retrosale, of course he could have made it up, since he hasn’t been seen since afaik we will never know.

Ok this could probably be joined to that thread - I just came across scans of the advert that I was sure I remember seeing but never found scans online before.

There was a lot of lies back then spread on mags that shops then advertised as "coming soon" on their lists. So none of that stuff is to be believed. Only a few of those were at some point maybe actually being thought of.
