Vintage 1970's Commodore Calculator
I bought a vintage Commodore calculator from a car boot sale a few months ago. It caught my attention because of the lovely pouch that comes with it has the big C logo on the front. I want to know if anyone here has any information on it or know what it's worth today? I picked it up for 10p. It comes with the carrier pouch and also a manual. It definitely looks like it's from the 1970's because it has an almost PET look about it. The screen is a red reflecting thing it's not LCD like modern calculators. It has the C logo in the top left hand corner and the words CBM under the display. Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore because the batteries must have leaked and corroded all the battery connection bits. I wonder if it's repairable? Anyway any info would be great as I know nothing about this calculator. On the back of the calculator it has a Model Number: 776M.

Do a search on the net, you'll find lots of info since Commodore made shitloads of calculators (that was their biz before the homecomputer craze :))

Thanks for the link Akira. That's definitely the one I have. The one at the top of the page. I wonder what it's worth today? Probably next to nothing. :P

I like your model :)
It probably is not worth much because it says it was a very popular model. Check eBay for pointers! |

If you do decide to sell it on ebay, just remember to use words like RARE!!!, L@@K!!! and phrases like "you may never find another one of these babies again!!!" :laughing
